The 5 Stages of Those Easter Baskets

The anticipation on the night before Easter plays a close second to our Christmas Eve excitement.
Who wouldn't want a basket full of candy & toys?! You don't have to be a kid to enjoy it! Tell us if we nailed that Easter Basket experience!
Stage 1: Anticipation
You may have seen or heard the bags of candy being opened, & you just KNOW you're gonna get something. Easter Eve is basically a night of tossing & turning until you see the sun come up.
2. The Basket Reveal
You see the glorious basket & your little heart soars. You might even be lucky enough to catch a glimpse of that yellow wrapper that means you've been gifted the classic, but coveted, Reese's Peanut Butter Eggs.
3. The Dig-Through
You're tearing through candy, plastic eggs, tossing out the peeps, & that weird fake grass stuff like you're GETTIN' PAID!
4. The Tasting
Well, we're not sure it can even be called a tasting...it was more like a constant shoveling of chocolate right into our mouths as fast as possible.
5. The Aftermath
Oh, it hits hard. Mama always said too much chocolate will make you sick, & she was right. & the worst part is, after your sugar feast, you have to wear the itchiest outfit, & head to church.
Church, we like...the itchy dress, we do not.
Happy Easter, MOD Squad!
