If you could describe your personality as a beverage, which beverage would it be, and why?
Sparkling apple cider: sweet, bubbly and loves to celebrate.

What is your go-to Starbucks drink?
Tall hot cafè mocha with whip, please!

What is one of your proudest accomplishments in life so far?
In my fitness journey, it would definitely be when I captained a church group to run our first Spartan race. It was a fun journey of friendship, hard work and encouraging one another to get out of our comfort zones.  But of course, in life I would say raising my children takes the cake.

What inspired you to become an advocate for a healthy lifestyle?
I love all things physical; hiking, swimming, running and dancing. I started working out after my second child was born in 2006 and found that doing the activities I loved was easier if I was stronger. There are a lot of parallels between fitness and the christian life, as well. It’s the small steps in the right direction and all the work that no one really sees that gets you closer to the goal. There can be setbacks but when we realize where our strength comes from, it makes the process so much sweeter.

Are you a Target or Walmart gal?
Target all the way!

What is your biggest pet peeve?
With four kids, I can stand a messy house. But if the curtains get out of place, that drives me nuts.

How did you get into modest fashion?
In 2014, I took the Girl Gone Mild challenge and I’m so glad I did! It’s so nice to not always have to be fussing to make sure my neckline isn’t too low or my jeans stay put. Dressing more modestly makes me feel feminine and confident.

Who's always in your corner whenever you need encouragement?
My 15 year old daughter, she’s such a sweetheart and always speaks the truth in abundant love.

What has been your favorite part of 2018 so far?
May 7th, 2018 we adopted our little girl who we had been fostering since 2014.  What an amazing day!

Do you have a favorite quote or slogan?
“Comparison is the thief of joy.”

What's one piece of advice you would give yourself if you could have 5 years ago?
No matter what people might say or do, always follow Jesus. And eat less sugar. You’re sweet enough already.
