If you had to choose, what is your favorite Starbucks drink?
Currently my favorite drink is the peach green tea lemonade! I’m not a coffee drinker but I sure do love the smell of a fresh pot of coffee!
If you could go back in time and travel to any year, which one would you choose?
Time travel would be such a wonderful thing but I wouldn’t go back in time to any year. If I went back in time I think it would make me anxious to go back to the year I was living in, knowing that some loved ones may not be there.
Who is someone you admire?
I admire my beautiful pastors wife. She is everything I aspire to be when I grow up!
Is there anything you wish would come back into fashion?
I wish the era of modesty would come back for men and women.
Where do you hope to see yourself in 10 years?
A better wife, mother, and better servant for the Lord.
As a mom how do you intentionally create space for devotion, prayer and personal growth?
Yes! We (try) to read every night together and pray as a family before bed time. When daddy is away we pray for him to be safe while he’s at work.
What is your favorite book?
Sacred marriage is currently my favorite book at the moment.
How do you structure your days so that you feel most productive?
If I am lucky, I do laundry and house chores before my 1 1/2 year old wakes up, if not I wait till nap time and pick up where I left off. When my husband gets home he helps me a lot with splitting up what is left to do.
What is one of your favorite meals to make for your family and how do you prep for meals for the week?
One of my favorite meals to make for my family is one where we all get to be together.
What is your best advice for handling criticism?
The best advice for handling criticism is something my dad always told me, you get more bees with honey than vinegar 🤷🏼‍♀️ Just be sweet and kill them with kindness. If it’s constructive criticism, take a step back and think on what you could change to be better.
What are your goals for 2020?
To have a clean house, dinner prepared before my husband gets home, creating more “me” time, and growing deeper in my relationship with God.
